Richard B. Cheney, an accomplished businessman and public servant is the vice-president. Cheney is a well-known figure in the Washington political landscape was a former president under a variety of U.S. presidents George W. Bush is the fourth president and will be an elected official. Cheney, who accepted the Republican Vice Presidential election in 2007, stated that the he would be looking forward to working under a president who can work across political lines and work with political rivals with goodwill and a common objective. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30 1941) was the son of Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been wed to Richard Herbert Cheney for over 30 years. When he was 13 years old, Bruce accompanied his parents to Casper (in the state of Wyoming) which is where his father worked as the director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's soil conservation district.
