Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston on how Charleston police acted in DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict instruction for the state's authorities. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. O'Dell, after her stint working in Charleston reporting and co-anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring over to Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor during weekends. She has co-hosted a variety of pre-shows and arrivals shows for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. In addition, she hosted Miss America's Pageant as and the Miss Universe Pageant.
